GHUM

STYLE.

Grungy post-punk and ghost grunge perfect for letting anger out.

BIO.

Bringing together a mix of post-punk and grunge, influenced by bands like The Cure, Soft Kill and Yeah Yeah Yeahs, GHUM’s debut EP “The Coldest Fire” received widespread acclaim, with opening track “Saturn” playlisted by BBC 6 Music and “Get Up” named Steve Lamacq’s “Single of the Week”.

After recording a critically praised BBC Introducing session at Maida Vale studios in London during their UK headline tour, GHUM released another single, “California” in 2020, alongside playing a sold out show at London’s Electrowerkz and BBC 6 Music Recommends at Camden Dingwalls.

Ghum have been working on new material during the Covid-19 pandemic, capturing the bitterness, rage and sadness encapsulated by the current state of the world.

Ghum are Laura on vocals, Jojo on guitar, Marina MJ on bass and Vicki on drums.
