Hot Milk

STYLE.

It’s modern rock n roll for a jilted generation. Perfect for  humans looking to feel a little less lost.

BIO.

Han and Jim met in a bar in the Northern Quarter of Manchester in 2016 and became inseparable. They moved in together and wrote some songs, uploading them to Soundcloud in 2018, they soon got a bunch of management offers and signed one with Cardiff Giant from LA. Despite getting label offers the band decided to remain independent and release their first EP in May 2019.

The band went on tour in Europe in Jan 2019 in support of their first single with You Me At Six and by August had played every major UK festival and found themselves opening for the Foo Fighters in Dublin, Belfast and Glasgow. Hot Milk sold out their entire UK tour on the first day of on sale which was scheduled for April 2020.

The simulation started to glitch in March 2020 thus meaning the whole of music went topsy turvy and Hot Milk were once again resigned to their bedroom studio, where their second EP is being self-produced and will be released mid 2021. Staying DIY is important to the band but they recognise to move forward they may have to make a deal with the devil.

Q & A.

FOR THOSE THAT HAVEN’T HEARD OF YOU BEFORE, DESCRIBE YOUR SOUND IN ONE SENTENCE:

Han: Go hard or go home, we kill with kindness in a juxtaposition of raw synthesis with a magnum of attitude.

Jim: All about the bloody live show, we make it a goddamn show.

INFLUENCES?

Joan Jett, The Prodigy, Green Day, Foo Fighters, Rage Against the Machine, Queen, The Rolling Stones, Chvrches, Architects, Blink 182, Motley Crüe, Beastie Boys, Oasis

SHARE WITH US AN INTERESTING ANECDOTE ABOUT ONE OF YOUR SONGS:

Once did too much ketamine at a party in LA and told Mark Hoppus to f*ck off coz he tried to make me soup. Song is called Chemistry and is about how naughty things will be the death of me..

YOU ARE SENT TO MARS, NO CHECK-IN BAGGAGE AND YOU CAN TAKE ONE RECORD – WHICH ONE?

Rage Against the Machine: Battle of Los Angeles.

WE ARE PROUDLY SUBCULTURE INSPIRED. HOW ABOUT YOU?

Entirely we would belong nowhere without the alternative. It is our identity, it is the reason we were bloody bullied in school, it’s in our bones, it’s on our skin.
