Pop rock with a touch of goth, perfect for those who breathe and dress and dance glittery goth pop.
Pale Waves (Heather Baron-Gracie, Ciara Doran, Hugo Silvani and Charlie Wood) have made more than a few ripples since their beginnings in 2015. The band have shimmered and surged their way into the indie-limelight as well as the glamorous goth-pop rock scene.
The grunge goddesses Heather and Ciara met in a dingy off-license store, picking up Hugo from Facebook, and Charlie from another Mancunian band on their way. After supporting the likes of Sundara Karma and Superfood, the organic quartet soon got signed to Dirty Hit Records, alongside the famed pop-priest Matt Healy. Proverbial associations aside, the glittery goths have made a unique stage for themselves.
Their music style encompasses a heartbroken interior and a sparkly-pop exterior. The band’s style is equally as inimitable; their dark eyed glamour and nonchalance set them apart from the kitschy opulence of most pop artists.
