You only have to glance at the line up to realise why this is the event everybody is talking about. A dreamy selection of artists and DJ’s bought together by instrumental hip hop legend Simon Green, AKA Bonobo for a colossal all-day party.
Set to be the first of many, Outlier’s debut is being hosted at London’s Tobacco Docks in March. Bonobo has become recognised as a pioneer of elegant “downtempo” electronic music, but his DJ sets promise something more ferocious. In a similar Jekyll and Hyde twist, British-Japanese producer Maya Jane Coles will succumb to her darker, dubbier side to perform again in the evening as Nocturnal Sunshine.
Bonobo has selected acts from some of our favourite labels, Houndstooth, Erased Tapes and Ninjatune Records, so we’re expecting big things. Some acts we’d be elbowing our way to the front for include the Kiamos, Lapalux and Throwing Snow.
