UNDERGROUND X REBEL REEL CINE CLUB – SCREENING OF A CLOCKWORK ORANGE
It’s 50 years ago on 13th January 2022 since A Clockwork Orange was first screened in the UK. The Stanley Kubrick Classic “A Clockwork Orange” is based on the 1962 Anthony Burgess book of the same name.
Join us for a special screening of A Clockwork Orange on Friday 11th March at Rio Cinema, Dalston. Doors open at 9.00pm with a DJ Set from Martin Green Sound and the screening starts at 11:30pm.
With a DJ spinning Kubrick and Dystopian inspired tunes, themed cocktails, and much more we’re screening the one-time banned and controversial film that’s as imitated, upsetting and visually stunning now as it was 50 years ago …

Once only shown on tiny tv screens or private cinemas this is your chance to see it in 4K on the big screen.
As usual the presentation ties together film, art, music and subculture, and a dynamic array of guests to make for a great evening. We have a short film screening celebrating Brutalist architecture that backdropped the film, a special DJ set and a collaboration combat boot created by punk icon and agitator DaveBaby.
Underground and Rebel Reel team up to present a series of subculture film screenings. Each film selected is a subculture classic that captures a seminal event or ground-breaking moment in the underground world. Presented in indoor and outdoor locations that capture the atmosphere of the film itself, each screening is a unique opportunity to view a classic in the company of a limited audience.
