Menzies Tartan & Woven Patches Monarch Beret Tam Hat – Red

This red beret tam is made from felted 100% lambswool. The British Wool that has gone into the making of this product has an unrivalled pedigree of excellence that will give you a long service and keep you warm.

It is produced in Britain by craftswomen and craftsmen using traditional methods and woolen yarns of a very high standard. Once knitted the wool is boiled in a traditional method in order to produce the soft felted feel.

The authentic tartan is woven in Britain as are the jacquard woven patches. Please note that the patches and tartans will vary from piece to piece in the design and the positioning. Each one of the Beret Tams will have an individual and unique design- no two the same.

Enjoy this product as much as we have enjoyed making it.

Tartan originated in Scotland and was the fabric worn by crofters working the land. In the 19th century, Tartan was romanticised by the elite and the establishment with each Tartan design representing a clan (family line). In true style, Tartan was re-appropriated by the Punk movement in the second half of the ’70s. The wrestling of ownership of Tartan is ongoing.

Ever true to our roots this product uses Authentic Tartan that is woven in Britain.

This Tartan is from the Menzies clan.

Authentic. British. Sub Culture Inspired.
