SPIKE T-SHIRT – BLACK

The Spike haircut is a subculture hairstyle that predates even the earliest of Punks. You have to roll back time to First Century Ancient Britain when the spiked style was a rite of passage for having slain one of the enemies, namely the Roman conquerors. Adopted by the Punk movement in the late 1970’s it took on the name of the Liberty Spike in deference to the spiked crown on the Statue of Liberty.

Experimented with by Salvador Dali in the 1950s and perfected by the likes of David Bowie Billy Idol and Sid Vicious it is finding its place again in the 2020s with a new generation of artists.
