Fusing punk rock with rap, Rude Grl & C.C. bring together two black queer women: Basement Jaxx rapper Jenna Dickens and ‘International Twerk Of Art’ Bunni Morretto, with bassist-about-town Chris Constantinou (Adam Ant, Sinead O’Connor, The Wolfmen, The Mutants, Lou Reed).
Their EP, the anthemic, !Like Wow! Like Wow” is a two fingered salute to intolerance, prejudice and hate. Touching on personal struggles with addiction and sexual abuse, and recovery, turning anger into positive energy and breaking free.
Recently featured on Universal Music’s Re|Covered digital campaign, reworking several Clash tunes, including Vince Taylor’s “Brand New Cadillac” (as covered by The Clash on “London Calling”) which will be released as a single by Cleopatra on 20th January 2021. Also winners of the Best Hip Hop track at the PMA Mark Awards 2020 in Los Angeles.
